The Liberty-Benton Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Elmwood Royals to 38 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kenton for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Liberty-Benton will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 49-30 league win over Bath (Lima, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-3.

The Royals (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Otsego (Tontogany, OH). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Otsego was nudged by Maumee (Maumee, OH), 68-67, in a league contest.
