In Friday's non-league match, the host Richmond Red Devils basketball team scored a good 46-37 triumph over the New Castle Trojans.

Next, the Red Devils encounter the McCutcheon Mavericks (Lafayette, IN) in a North Central test, on Saturday, January 6. Richmond will attempt to advance on its 13-0 season record. The Mavericks go into the test with a 1-9 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN).
