The Norco Cougars basketball team (Norco, CA), was nudged 59-57 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Palm Springs Indians (Palm Springs, CA)

The Indians now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Quinta for a Desert Empire battle on Tuesday, January 9. Palm Springs will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 59-49 non-league loss to Central (El Centro, CA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 4-13.

The Cougars (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Orange Vista (Perris, CA). The Coyotes come into the non-league battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, Orange Vista was nudged by Valley View (Moreno Valley, CA), 64-52, in a league battle.
