Louisiana High School Basketball - Tioga nips North Vermilion
January 5, 2024: Tioga, LA 71405 Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA), 48-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Tioga upgrades its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Peabody (Alexandria, LA) to play the Warhorses in a 4A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Warhorses come into the bout with a record of 18-3. Peabody lost 45-41 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity (Louisville, KY)
Next up, the Patriots play the Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. North Vermilion will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
