Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Oil City nips Slippery Rock
January 5, 2024: Slippery Rock, PA 16057 Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA), 47-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Oil City upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Oilers host Bradford (Bradford, PA) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Bradford won 67-40 in their recent non-league bout against St. Marys (St. Marys, PA)
Next up, the Rockets play the Fairview Tigers (Fairview, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Slippery Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
