New Jersey High School Basketball - Trenton Central can't hold off Princeton
January 5, 2024: Trenton, NJ 08609 The Princeton Tigers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Trenton Central Tornadoes to 48 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hamilton for a Colonial Valley contest on Tuesday, January 9. Princeton will battle a Hornets team coming off a 39-36 league loss to Princeton Day (Princeton, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 3-4.
The Tornadoes (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hightstown (Hightstown, NJ). The Rams enter the Colonial Valley contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Hightstown was nudged by Wildwood (Wildwood, NJ), 53-37, in a non-league contest.
