Virginia High School Basketball - Union nudges Ridgeview
January 5, 2024: Big Stone Gap, VA 24219 In Friday's league outing, the Union Bears (Big Stone Gap, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Ridgeview Wolfpack (Clintwood, VA), by a margin of 48-46.
The Bears (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Central Wise (Norton, VA). The Warriors go into the Mountain outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Central Wise held off Honaker (Honaker, VA), 60-59, in a non-league outing.
The Wolfpack now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Gate City for a Mountain outing on Tuesday, January 9. Ridgeview will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 65-52 non-league win over Tennessee (Bristol, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.
