West Virginia High School Basketball - WestSide holds off Summers County

January 5, 2024: Hinton, WV 25951

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV) and the host Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), saw WestSide's basketball squad hold off Summers County by a tally of 71-68.

With the victory, WestSide improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Renegades travel to Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, January 11. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 2-6.

The Bobcats now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Wyoming East for a Coalfield AA test on Friday, January 12. Summers County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 53-43 non-league loss to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 5-3.
