January 5, 2024: Alex, OK 73002 Alex Longhorns (Alex, OK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Calumet Chieftains (Calumet, OK), 45-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Alex upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Longhorns host Wynnewood (Wynnewood, OK) to clash with the Savages in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Savages go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Wynnewood won 51-25 in their recent non-league bout against Ninnekah (Ninnekah, OK)
Next up, the Chieftains clash with the Gracemont Lions (Gracemont, OK) in a Washita Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Calumet will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 51-16 non-league loss to Mangum (Mangum, OK).
