Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Charleroi overwhelms Ringgold
January 5, 2024: Charleroi, PA 15022 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) and the visiting Ringgold Rams (Monongahela, PA), saw Charleroi's basketball squad wallop Ringgold by a tally of 56-25.
With the victory, Charleroi improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host South Park (South Park, PA) to confront the Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 4 challenge on Monday, January 8. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. South Park won 56-45 in their recent league challenge against Brownsville (Brownsville, PA)
Next up, the Rams confront the Uniontown Red Raiders (Uniontown, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 3 challenge, on Monday, January 8. Ringgold will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 48-16 league loss to West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA).
