Oklahoma High School Basketball - Elgin can't hold off Weatherford
January 5, 2024: Weatherford, OK 73096 The Weatherford Eagles basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Elgin Owls to 59 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Choctaw for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Weatherford will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 42-40 non-league win over Duncan (Duncan, OK). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-0.
The Owls (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Duncan (Duncan, OK). The Demons enter the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Duncan was nudged by Choctaw (Choctaw, OK), 42-40, in a non-league contest.
