Owego Free Academy River Hawks (Owego, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Homer Trojans (Homer, NY), 54-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Owego Free Academy upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The River Hawks travel to Chenango Valley (Binghamton, NY) to play the Warriors in a Section 4 Southern Tier - East bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Chenango Valley lost 40-35 in their recent non-league bout against Johnson City (Johnson City, NY)

Next up, the Trojans play the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers (Syracuse, NY) in a Section 3 Liberty bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Homer will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Brothers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 69-25 league win over Chittenango (Chittenango, NY).
