Highland Huskies (Ault, CO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO), 29-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Highland upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Yuma (Yuma, CO) to play the Yuma in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Yuma come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Tigers play the Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Sterling will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 38-24 non-league win over Estes Park (Estes Park, CO).
