January 5, 2024: Carlsbad, CA 92009 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pacific Ridge Firebirds (Carlsbad, CA) and the visiting Preuss UCSD Tritons (La Jolla, CA), saw Pacific Ridge's basketball squad overcome Preuss UCSD by a tally of 40-26.
With the victory, Pacific Ridge improves its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Point Loma (San Diego, CA) to battle the Pointers in a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. The Pointers enter the contest with a record of 8-6. Point Loma won 46-23 in their recent league contest against La Jolla (La Jolla, CA)
The Tritons (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bonsall (Bonsall, CA). The Legionnaires enter the contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Bonsall was defeated by Liberty Charter (Alpine, CA), 54-38, in a non-league contest.
