January 5, 2025: Newton, MA 02459 The Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) basketball were winner over the visiting Chelmsford Lions (North Chelmsford, MA), 55-40 in Sunday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Everett for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Newton South will play a Crimson Tide team coming off a 67-58 league loss to Lynn Classical (Lynn, MA). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Chelmsford falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Andover (Andover, MA) to play the Golden Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Golden Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Andover lost 51-47 in their recent league bout against North Andover (North Andover, MA)
