In Sunday's non-league contest, the host Padua Franciscan Bruins ice hockey team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Steele Comets.

The Bruins (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, OH). The Warriors come into the Great Lakes Hockey League contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Walsh Jesuit got by Holy Name (Parma Heights, OH), 7-1, in a league contest.
