Colorado High School Basketball - Ridgway nips Nucla
January 6, 2022: Nucla, CO 81424 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Ridgway Demons (Ridgway, CO) and the host Nucla Mustangs (Nucla, CO), saw Ridgway's basketball squad hold off Nucla by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Ridgway improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Telluride (Telluride, CO) to play the Miners in a 2A/1A San Juan Basin challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Telluride lost 60-43 in their recent league challenge against Dove Creek (Dove Creek, CO)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Ouray Trojans (Ouray, CO) in a 2A/1A San Juan Basin challenge, on Saturday, January 8. Nucla will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 73-52 league loss to Mancos (Mancos, CO).
