January 6, 2022: Lena, IL 61048 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL) and the host Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL), saw Dixon's basketball squad hold off Lena-Winslow by a tally of 40-33.
With the victory, Dixon improves its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Dukes & Duchesses travel to Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL) to play the Rockets in a Big Northern challenge on Saturday, January 8. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Rock Falls lost 54-41 in their recent league challenge against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the East Dubuque Warriors (East Dubuque, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 8. Lena-Winslow will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 60-30 league loss to West Carroll (Savanna, IL).
