The Sterling Jets basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Dorchester Longhorns to 31 in the Jets non-league victory on Thursday.

The Jets now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer for a non-league contest on Friday, January 7. Sterling will battle a Titans team coming off a 60-33 non-league loss to Conestoga (Murray, NE). The Titans record now stands at 1-9.

The Longhorns (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Friend (Friend, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Friend was routed by McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE), 52-32, in a non-league contest.
