Washington High School Basketball - Edmonds-Woodway knocked off by Monroe
January 6, 2022: Monroe, WA 98272 The Monroe Bearcats basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Edmonds-Woodway Warriors to 40 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bearcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shorewood for a non-league contest on Monday, January 10. Monroe will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 57-14 non-league win over Marysville-Pilchuck (Marysville, WA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-0.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Arlington (Arlington, WA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Arlington ran past Stanwood (Stanwood, WA), 74-32, in a non-league contest.
