Texas High School Basketball - Balmorhea tops McCamey
January 6, 2023: McCamey, TX 79752 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Balmorhea Bears (Balmorhea, TX) and the host McCamey Badgers (McCamey, TX), saw Balmorhea's basketball squad knock off McCamey by a tally of 53-36.
With the victory, Balmorhea improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Van Horn (Van Horn, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region II District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Van Horn lost 51-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX)
Next up, the Badgers play the Anthony Wildcats (Anthony, TX) in a 2A Region I District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 13. McCamey will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 71-52 non-league loss to Bel Air (El Paso, TX).
