Tennessee High School Basketball - Cherokee knocked off by Chuckey-Doak
January 6, 2023: Rogersville, TN 37857 The Chuckey-Doak Black Knights basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Cherokee Chiefs to 50 in the Black Knights non-league triumph on Friday.
The Black Knights now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson County for a 2A District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Chuckey-Doak will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 71-55 non-league loss to Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-6.
The Chiefs (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against West Greene (Mosheim, TN). The Buffaloes enter the non-league contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, West Greene was defeated by Unicoi County (Erwin, TN), 82-65, in a non-league contest.
