Michigan High School Basketball - Grant knocked off by Newaygo
January 6, 2023: Grant, MI 49327 The Newaygo Lions basketball team scored 87 points and held the host Grant Tigers to 67 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shelby for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Newaygo will battle a Tigers team coming off a 64-30 league win over Hesperia (Hesperia, MI). The Tigers record now stands at 2-5.
The Tigers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Whitehall (Whitehall, MI). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Whitehall was defeated by Ludington (Ludington, MI), 63-52, in a league contest.
