Texas High School Basketball - Juan Diego Academy overwhelmed by Lasara
January 6, 2023: Mission, TX The Lasara Lions basketball team scored 87 points and restricted the host Juan Diego Academy to 17 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benavides for a 1A Region IV District 32 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Lasara will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-36 non-league loss to Kaufer (Riviera, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-8.
The (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Macedonian Christian (Alamo, TX). The come into the TAPPS 1A District 7 contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Macedonian Christian triumphed over Harvest Christian (Edinburg, TX), 48-46, in a league contest.
