New Jersey High School Basketball - Neptune can't hold off Matawan Regional
January 6, 2023: Neptune, NJ 07753 The Matawan Regional Huskies basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Neptune Scarlet Fliers to 37 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Long Branch for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Matawan Regional will battle a Green Wave team coming off a 48-30 non-league loss to Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ). The Green Wave record now stands at 1-8.
The Scarlet Fliers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Manasquan nudged Hightstown (Hightstown, NJ), 73-47, in a non-league contest.
