New Jersey High School Basketball - Morristown nudges Pope John XXIII
January 6, 2023: Sparta, NJ 07871 Morristown Colonials (Morristown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ), 60-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Morristown upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Colonials host Immaculata (Somerville, NJ) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Immaculata won 66-47 in their recent league bout against Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ)
Next up, the clash with the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - National bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Pope John XXIII will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 53-36 non-league loss to West Morris Central (Chester, NJ).
