The New Castle Trojans basketball team (New Castle, IN), was nudged 60-57 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Richmond Red Devils (Richmond, IN)

The Red Devils now possess a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCutcheon for a North Central battle on Saturday, January 7. Richmond will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 64-54 non-league loss to Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-7.

The Trojans (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Connersville (Connersville, IN). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Connersville edged Greensburg (Greensburg, IN), 43-40, in a league battle.
