January 6, 2023: Macon, MS 39341 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS) and the visiting Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL), saw Noxubee County's basketball squad wallop Pickens County by a tally of 62-31.
With the victory, Noxubee County improves its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Lowndes (Columbus, MS) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. West Lowndes lost 92-63 in their recent non-league challenge against New Hope (Columbus, MS)
Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) in a 1A Area 9 challenge, on Monday, January 9. Pickens County will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 78-51 league loss to South Lamar (Millport, AL).
