New Jersey High School Basketball - Verona thwarts Shabazz
January 6, 2023: Verona, NJ 07043 The Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Shabazz Bulldogs (Newark, NJ), 59-49 in Friday's league test.
The Hillbillies (3-7) will now prepare for their test against Orange (Orange, NJ). The Tornadoes go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Orange went down by West Orange (West Orange, NJ), 36-32, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Science Park for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12.
