The Bear River Bears (Garland, UT) basketball crushed the visiting Union Cougars (Roosevelt, UT), 61-37 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bears (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Sky View (Smithfield, UT). The Bobcats go into the 4A Region 11 test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Sky View walloped Salem Hills (Salem, UT), 57-49, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they host Juab for a 3A Region 14 test on Tuesday, January 10. Union will encounter a Wasps squad coming off a 46-39 non-league win over Spanish Fork (Spanish Fork, UT). The Wasps record now stands at 11-2.
