The Carter Lions basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Rim of the World Fighting Scots to 30 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jurupa Hills for a Sunkist contest on Wednesday, January 11.

The Fighting Scots (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against San Gorgonio (San Bernardino, CA). The Spartans come into the San Andreas contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, San Gorgonio was routed by Edgewood (West Covina, CA), 32-30, in a non-league contest.
