The Gallup Bengals basketball team (Gallup, NM), was routed 74-49 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM)

The Matadors now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Volcano Vista for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Sandia will battle a Hawks team coming off a 65-17 non-league win over Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 12-2.

The Bengals (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, West Mesa was routed by Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 59-20, in a non-league battle.
