January 6, 2023: Shreveport, LA 71101 The St. Mary Tigers (Natchitoches, LA) basketball nipped the host Loyola College Prep Flyers (Shreveport, LA), 34-31 in Friday's non-league test.
The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against LaSalle (Olla, LA). The Tigers go into the 1A District 3 test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, LaSalle got by Dodson (Dodson, LA), 48-13, in a non-league test.
The Flyers now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Minden for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Loyola College Prep will encounter a Crimson Tide squad coming off a 54-44 non-league loss to Winnfield (Winnfield, LA). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 3-8.
