January 6, 2023: Staunton, IL 62088 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) and the visiting Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL), saw Staunton's basketball squad overcome Maryville Christian by a tally of 45-28.
With the victory, Staunton improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Auburn (Auburn, IL) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Auburn won 53-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL)
Next up, the Lions confront the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors (Marissa, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Maryville Christian will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Meteors come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 32-27 non-league loss to Chester (Chester, IL).
