Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ygnacio Valley Wolves (Concord, CA) and the host Redding Christian Lions (Palo Cedro, CA), saw Ygnacio Valley's basketball squad hold off Redding Christian by a count of 68-62.

With the victory, Ygnacio Valley upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Maxwell (Maxwell, CA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Maxwell lost 58-16 in their recent non-league challenge against East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA)

Next up, the Lions play the East Nicolaus Spartans (Nicolaus, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Redding Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 58-16 non-league win over Maxwell (Maxwell, CA).
