January 6, 2023: West Bend, IA 50597 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) and the host West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA), saw Sioux Central's basketball squad overcome West Bend-Mallard by a tally of 67-50.
With the victory, Sioux Central improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA) to confront the Jaguars in a Twin Lakes challenge on Friday, January 13. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 3-4.
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Emmetsburg E'Hawks (Emmetsburg, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. West Bend-Mallard will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The E'Hawks come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 40-27 non-league win over East Sac County (Lake View, IA).
