January 6, 2023: Waco, TX 76705 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) and the visiting Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX), saw La Vega's soccer squad get by Corsicana by a count of 2-1.
The Pirates now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host China Spring for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. La Vega will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Burnet (Burnet, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Corsicana drops to 1-3 on the season. The Tigers host Waco (Waco, TX) to meet the Lions in a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions come into the test with a record of 0-1. Waco lost 13-0 in their recent non-league test against Cleburne (Cleburne, TX)
