The McDonough Warhawks basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Luella Lions to 41 in the Warhawks league triumph on Friday.

The Warhawks now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sandy Creek for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9.

The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lovejoy (Lovejoy, GA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Lovejoy ran past Morrow (Morrow, GA), 50-47, in a league contest.
