Ohio High School Basketball - Shelby overwhelms Ashland
January 6, 2024: Ashland, OH 44805 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) and the host Ashland Arrows (Ashland, OH), saw Shelby's basketball team trounce Ashland by a tally of 84-61.
The Whippets now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pleasant for a Mid-Ohio - Red battle on Friday, January 12. Shelby will battle a Spartans team coming off a 51-44 non-league loss to Buckeye Valley (Delaware, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 6-6.
The Arrows (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against West Holmes (Millersburg, OH). The Knights come into the Ohio Cardinal battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, West Holmes was overwhelmed by Lexington (Lexington, OH), 63-20, in a league battle.
