Michigan High School Basketball - East Kentwood holds off Brother Rice
January 6, 2024: Kentwood, MI 49508 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the East Kentwood Falcons (Kentwood, MI) and the visiting Brother Rice Warriors (Bloomfield Hills, MI), saw East Kentwood's basketball squad hold off Brother Rice by a tally of 47-42.
With the victory, East Kentwood improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Jenison (Jenison, MI) to confront the Wildcats in a Ottawa-Kent - Red challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Jenison lost 65-34 in their recent league challenge against Grandville (Grandville, MI)
Next up, the Warriors confront the St. Mary's Prep Eaglets (Orchard Lake, MI) in a Catholic Central challenge, on Friday, January 12. Brother Rice will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record.
