Georgia High School Basketball - Wilkinson County overwhelmed by Calhoun County
January 6, 2024: Edison, GA 39846 The Wilkinson County Warriors basketball squad (Irwinton, GA), was trounced 91-42 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA)
The Cougars (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Terrell County (Dawson, GA). The Greenwave go into the A D2 Region 1 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Terrell County was trounced by Monroe (Albany, GA), 73-55, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Georgia Military College for a A D2 Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 9. Wilkinson County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 79-48 non-league loss to Gatewood (Eatonton, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-8.
