Minnesota High School Basketball - Menahga can't hold off Crookston
January 6, 2024: Crookston, MN 56716 The Crookston Pirates basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Menahga Braves to 56 in the Pirates league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for a AA Section 8 contest on Monday, January 8. Crookston will battle a Rebels team coming off a 61-39 non-league win over Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 4-5.
The Braves (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wadena-Deer Creek (Wadena, MN). The Wolverines enter the AA Section 8 contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Wadena-Deer Creek was nudged by Henning (Henning, MN), 66-55, in a non-league contest.
