In Saturday's non-league outing, the Germantown Academy Patriots (Fort Washington, PA) basketball squad beat the host Frankford Pioneers (Philadelphia, PA), by a count of 52-37.

The Patriots (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA). The Friars go into the Inter-Academic outing with a 9-1 record. In their last outing, Malvern Prep was topped by Salesianum (Wilmington, DE), 64-58, in a non-league outing.

The Pioneers now hold a 3-8 record. They play next when they host George Washington for a Philadelphia Public - Liberty outing on Tuesday, January 9.
