South Dakota High School Basketball - Parkston tops Freeman Academy/Marion
January 6, 2024: Freeman, SD Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Parkston Trojans (Parkston, SD) and the host Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD), saw Parkston's basketball squad knock off Freeman Academy/Marion by a tally of 70-50.
With the victory, Parkston improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Wagner (Wagner, SD) to play the Red Raiders in a A Region 5 challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-3.
Next up, the play the Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Freeman Academy/Marion will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 63-56 non-league loss to Ethan (Ethan, SD).
