California High School Basketball - Golden West thwarts Madera South
January 6, 2024: Madera, CA 93637 The Golden West Trailblazers (Visalia, CA) basketball knocked off the host Madera South Stallions (Madera, CA), 60-41 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Trailblazers (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Monache (Porterville, CA). The Marauders go into the East Yosemite test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Monache notched a victory over Fowler (Fowler, CA), 77-65, in a non-league test.
The Stallions now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hoover for a North Yosemite test on Tuesday, January 9. Madera South will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 100-80 non-league loss to Bullard (Fresno, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 8-7.
