California High School Basketball - Harbor thwarts University Prep Academy
January 6, 2024: Santa Cruz, CA 95062 The Harbor Pirates (Santa Cruz, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting University Prep Academy Golden Eagles (San Jose, CA), 69-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pirates (10-5) will now prepare for their test against San Lorenzo Valley (Felton, CA). The Cougars go into the Santa Cruz Coast test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, San Lorenzo Valley notched a victory over St. Francis (Watsonville, CA), 68-53, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Cindy Avitia for a Private School - South test on Monday, January 8. University Prep Academy will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 66-50 non-league loss to Mid-Peninsula (Menlo Park, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-4.
