New Jersey High School Basketball - Irvington fells West Side
January 6, 2024: Newark, NJ 07103 Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Side Roughriders (Newark, NJ), 66-57 in a league bout.
With the win, Irvington upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Blue Knights host Payne Tech (Newark, NJ) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Payne Tech lost 69-52 in their recent non-league bout against East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ)
Next up, the Roughriders clash with the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) in a Super Essex - American bout, on Tuesday, January 9. West Side will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 60-44 league loss to Columbia (Maplewood, NJ).
