Iowa High School Basketball - Valley tops Linn-Mar
January 6, 2024: West Des Moines, IA 50266 Valley Tigers (West Des Moines, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA), 54-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE) to play the Thunderbirds in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a record of 11-1.
Next up, the Lions play the Kennedy Cougars (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Linn-Mar will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 65-54 non-league win over Waukee (Waukee, IA).
