Iowa High School Basketball - Valley tops Linn-Mar
January 6, 2024: Marion, IA 52302 Valley Tigers (Elgin, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA), 54-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Urbandale (Urbandale, IA) to play the J-Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The J-Hawks come into the bout with a record of 3-8.
Next up, the Lions play the Kennedy Cougars (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Linn-Mar will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 65-54 non-league win over Waukee (Waukee, IA).
