January 6, 2024: Pass Christian, MS 39571 The Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS), 55-47 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pirates (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Moss Point (Moss Point, MS). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 8 test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Moss Point notched a victory over St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS), 53-47, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Mendenhall for a 4A Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 9. Quitman will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 57-30 league win over Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 14-3.
